Hi,

    My name is Joanne Bentley and I own and operate Calma Therapies - Well-being Health and Beauty Centre. My dream was to in-corporate complementary therapy with beauty treatments after re-educating in 2003 at the now Elite International & Beauty Therapies School in Wellington on Wakefield Street. Graduating with "most outstanding WSBT student" in the part-time course. Having been in the industry of "Beautification" for 30 years ( originally a hairdresser), I know how important it is to care and provide for clients. Continuing studies after my beauty therapy training took me to the NZCM on Kent Terrace for the next 16 months learning hands on therapy in massage & reflexology. Gaining a national certification and practice certificate through MNZ ment I was able to provide a high level of ethics and level of skill in therapy treatments that were more health related. I have a particular interest in complementary health care and a passion for intuitive healing. I have choosen a holistic approach for beauty and skin as I see this as more realistic and it provides long term goals for clients to be able to help themselves. I continue to study in massage & skin therapies and hope to incorporate nutritional medicine for skin health in the future.
